This role is an integral part of our finance team, contributing significantly to the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, applying a thorough understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP & IFRS) within a complex, multinational organizational structure. This individual is expected to work independently and without external supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Month-End Close: Oversee and participate in all aspects of the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Account Reconciliation & Bank Statement Reconciliation: Perform detailed reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger through accurate and timely recording of transactions.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial reports, identifying trends and variances, and providing insights to management.
- Journal Entry Review & Variance Analysis: Review junior accountant's journal entries, identifying and correcting errors, and performing variance analysis to understand performance.
- Tax Preparation & Audit Support: Assist with the preparation of tax returns and provide support during external audits.
- Revenue Recognition & Invoicing: Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards.
- Cost Accounting: Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and reports.
- Fixed Asset Management: Manage the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate capitalization and depreciation.
- Training and Mentoring: Train and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

About YouThe essentials:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience in a corporate setting.
- Proven proficiency in US GAAP & IFRS.
- Demonstrated expertise in NetSuite (or equivalent ERP)
Not a must, but a plus:
- Knowledge of Netsuite Analytics Warehouse
- Experience working within a large-scale enterprise environment, ideally with multi-entity or multinational experience.

Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting.
