A Day in the LifeExternal Reporting EMEA Team offers services for multiple key financial processes including Statutory and Corporate Income Tax reporting and Audit coordination. It serves a wide range of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region countries and continues to expand scope. To be successful in this role you need strong knowledge and experience in statutory reporting and corporate income tax returns preferably according different accountant and tax requirements, but as a minimum according German requirements, be a team player with a hands-on mentality. You are result driven, quality orientated, solve complex problems, navigating through matrix organisation with strong communication skills and a high degree of accuracy.
The preferred work location for this role is either Meerbusch (DE) or Heerlen (NL), alternatively remote. Either way, regular visits to Meerbusch and Heerlen offices are required.
There is a facility-based immunization requirement for this position. Therefore, full Measles immunization is a requirement to fill the open position.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Prepare financial statements, audit deliverables, statutory filing, and tax filing for German entities and other jurisdictions.
  • Translate financial records from US GAAP to local GAAP,
  • Coordinate work with colleagues, stakeholders, and service providers,
  • Corporate income tax accounting and reporting for group purposes,
  • Prepare finance updates for the local board meetings.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Audit or Accounting (preferably from a German University)
  • 6+ years relevant working experience in accounting or audit including German GAAP,
  • Strong communication and coordinating skills,
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken German and English
