Background

Dentsu shop is a collection of commerce experts that support top 100 brand clients across the Dentsu business. The team have worked with Haleon for the past 7 years, previously as part of Tag before the acquisition of the business in 2022. During this time the scope of the account has grown to encompass both consumer facing and clinical marketing audiences.

Haleon (Previously GSK Consumer Health) houses a portfolio of local market and global power brands including Sensodyne, Pronamel, Paradontax and Polident in the oral health category. The OTC business includes leading respiratory and pain brands including Voltaren, Otrivin and Panadol. Today, the business is serviced through a mix of an and off-site creative and PM teams both retained and project based work. 

The scope of this role is to support the project-based work primarily in the Expert Marketing space but also to support the commerce team where capacity allows. 

Requirements of the role:

As a Senior/Account Manager you will be expected to work across a broad range of Expert Marketing projects including Digital Marketing, Printed Media, E-detail Aids, Infographics, Internal presentations etc. You will be responsible for the management of briefs from conceptualisation, copy and visual design through to uploading assets into the clients own regulatory approval platform. You should have an interest and experience in healthcare marketing and be able to deliver the highest standards of work with accuracy and efficiency.

Working alongside the designers and copywriters, you will demonstrate an ability to lead projects with minimal supervision, ensuring all day to day work is managed to the client’s brief, budget and agreed timeframes. You will oversee quality standards on behalf of clients and the agency and need to demonstrate business acumen, people and relationship management as well as operational leadership to successfully meet the objectives of this role.

Primary Duties:
General

  • Drafting and consolidation of client briefs. 

  • Managing timing plans to include hand off from external strategic agencies, translating strategic and high-level ideation into asset specific development briefs for the copy and design team to work from.

  • Status reporting on projects and pro-active communication to ensure clients are fully informed of project status.

  • Manage the copy approval process through promotion alongside the Copywriter.

  • Understand and be familiar with a broad range of printed media and digital formats.

  • Ensure all output meets and exceeds client expectations and meets timelines.

  • Understanding of Haleon brand portfolio and their respective global brand guidelines.

  • Organising and scheduling work with dentsu Shop’s copy and design resources.

Financial Management

  • Monthly performance and profitability analysis. 

  • WIP and billing management, ensuring work is billed correctly and timely.

  • Monitoring and reporting levels of work to ensure efficient use of team time.

Client Development

  • Develop, maintain and extend client relationships at all levels, building trust and confidence in our capability.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the client’s business and brands.

  • Retention and expansion of work streams across specific Haleon categories.

  • Manage client expectations in relation to project objectives, creative standards, timelines and budgets.

People and process management

Apply best practice ways of working including:

  • Set up and manage project plans, status meetings and estimation between Haleon and dentsu Shop teams. 

  • Ensure clarity of project reporting and time capturing through management platforms. 

Secondary Duties:

  • Quality control, including proofing, reviewing, measuring and evaluating staff performance, creative output and project delivery.

  • Continually learning, evaluating and implementing new marketing communications technologies within the agency and for client campaigns.

Skills and Experience required:

  • 5+ years' experience in a healthcare agency or similar design management environment.

  • Ability to clearly and confidently communicate with all levels of Haleon and denstu Shop stakeholders.

  • Experience in managing copywriters, designers and production teams.

  • Understand the end-to-end production processes of HCP materials including print and digital formats.

  • Ability to juggle numerous tasks at once and deliver all effectively.

  • Ability to delegate work to achieve the best results. 

  • Ability to coach and develop members of the team. 

  • Be proactive and take initiative to get things done.

  • Works as a strong team player. 

  • Good planning, organising and time management skills.

  • Proven self-starter with strong attention to detail.

  • Display confidentiality at all times with regards to dentsu Shop and Haleon business.

  • MS Office.

Measures of Performance:

  • Time and cost management on projects.

  • Quality of reporting and analysis.

  • High customer satisfaction scores.

  • Working relationship and reputation with clients and internal stakeholders.
