THE JOB / Senior Account Executive, Client Services (Payment Services Client)
Octagon is looking for a qualified and driven Senior Account Executive to assist with managing one of the largest sponsorship portfolios in golf. The candidate will play an integral role in assisting with the management, implementation, and tracking of a robust U.S. golf sponsorship portfolio. The position will involve strategic planning, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to plan golf events, and oversight of website content development and asset management. This position will allow someone to work cross-functionally with client business units to develop compelling sponsorship programming and drive marketing initiatives with golf partners.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and project management skills, and experience in client services. The position has project management responsibilities and requires a desire to work as part of a team with the capability to solve problems independently.
THE WORK YOU’LL DO
- Serve as a reliable agency contact for client sponsorship, internal client departments, and agency partners
- Support account team with day-to-day management and year-long programming of pillar partners and properties as well as the execution of a yearly tentpole event
- Oversee website-driven partnership content/offers with property partners
- Coordinate B2B and B2C efforts on behalf of client, including, program ideation and development, collaborating closely with golf course contacts, vendor contracts, on-site event support, etc.
- Manage and participate in weekly status meetings by crafting agendas, driving the discussion and providing recap summaries
- Coordinate projects with internal resources and external vendors, such as, merchandise, creative, and digital teams
- Assist in asset management (i.e., audit compliance, ticket allocations and financial tracking)
- Oversee onsite staff at programs and events
- Build recap summaries and case studies

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 2-3 years of account management or client services experience working with sports & entertainment properties, leagues, and/or teams
- Experience with and interest in golf event/program management
- History of building positive relationships, both internally and externally
- Ability to manage strict timelines and perform under pressure with strong attention to detail
- An effective communicator who excels in both written and verbal communication
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while working as both part of a team and independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
- A positive attitude with a “no job is too small” approach
- Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed. Low (0-15%)
This position pays $50,000, is overtime-eligible and comes with a comprehensive benefits package.
