THE JOB / Senior Account Executive, Client Service (Global Football/Soccer)
CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for leading Octagon’s client business and day-to-day management of client programs.
***Our headquarters is in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible with a priority given to candidates open to hybrid work (2-3 days week in office) in one of our office locations - - Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC, Los Angeles, CA, Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA, or Miami, FL.”
Octagon is searching for Senior Account Executive to join our team as a playmaker at the intersection of global football and hospitality. This role will be working managing relationships with key stakeholders for a fast paced client, and is ideal for someone that is passionate about global football with a minimum of two (2) years of partnership experience.
In this role, you will be part of a team that is responsible for supporting the clients’ partner portfolio including managing the passthrough of sponsorship assets and executive hospitality.
THE WORK YOU’LL DO
- Serve as a reliable agency support for the client, partner, and sponsorship teams
- Support the Account Director building and managing partnership asset tracker and maintain inventory across partners
- Managing the approval process for all sponsorship assets related to partner programs including but not limited to routing all materials through the property
- Work closely with our Hospitality team to develop/activate programs in support of clients’ goals and objectives
- Identify, track, and keep up to date on global football deadlines & provide regular market updates on Hospitality and the partners programming
- Support the Account Director in the management of documents such as budgets, status reports, inventory tracking, and meeting agenda and notes
- Master property guidelines, sponsorship assets and compliance procedures to advise partners
- Produce written communications for clients, including presentations, event reports, case studies, competitive reports, etc.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Have a passion for global football and eager to stay up to date with development in the industry
- 2-3 years of work with an agency, brand, or property within global sports and specifically global football
- Quick learner with confidence in managing multiple programs at once
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Exceptional work ethic, a strong desire to succeed, and willingness to learn
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
- Strategic collaborator and problem solver - can see possible impacts of a decision on many projects
- Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically (and internationally) and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel amount: (20-45%). As such, a valid US passport will be required
L2: This position pays $50,000, is overtime-eligible and comes with a comprehensive benefits package.
