Position Overview:
The Associate Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems to ensure the integrity, security, and efficiency of our technical operations. This role requires a strong understanding of SQL and database management, as well as the ability to analyze and improve our current processes.
Responsibilities:
Control System Development:
- Design and develop control systems to monitor and manage our technical operations.
- Implement automated controls to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure all control systems are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
SQL and Database Management:
- Utilize SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Manage and maintain database systems to ensure data integrity and security.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for performance and accuracy.
Process Improvement:
- Analyze existing control processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement enhancements to increase operational efficiency and reduce risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new controls.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor control systems to detect and respond to anomalies or security threats.
- Generate regular reports on system performance and control effectiveness.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all control systems and processes comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of control systems and procedures.
- Assist in internal and external audits related to technical controls.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in technical controls or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database management.
- Familiarity with control system design and implementation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
