The Role
We are looking for security architects who want to play a key role in shaping the security strategy and infrastructure of the Financial Services industry, one project at a time. You will be expected to be a visionary leader who excels in designing secure, scalable, and resilient systems while mentoring teams to achieve security excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an enterprise-level security architecture strategy aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Lead the design and implementation of secure systems, networks, and applications, ensuring adherence to security-by-design principles.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define security requirements for projects and business initiatives.
- Evaluate and select security technologies, tools, and frameworks to address evolving threats and organizational needs.
- Create comprehensive security blueprints for cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
- Oversee the development of secure DevOps practices, including integrating security tools within CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead threat modeling, vulnerability management, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
- Provide strategic guidance and hands-on expertise for endpoint security, data protection, and identity and access management (IAM).
- Foster a culture of security awareness across teams, providing training and mentorship to engineering and development teams.
- Monitor emerging cybersecurity trends and threats, advising on proactive measures and innovative defense strategies.
- Design and manage security incident response plans and ensure readiness through regular testing and updates.
Skills & Expertise
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing security architectures.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid architectures.
- Expertise in application security, network security, and data protection.
- Proficiency in security frameworks and standards such as TOGAF, SABSA, NIST, and ISO 27001.
- Hands-on experience with security technologies, including firewalls, SIEM, IAM, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or C++) is an advantage.
- Excellent leadership and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, AWS Certified Security, or equivalent.
