Structural Heart Business Mission:  why we exist

Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease.

Primary Function:

  • Evaluate, plan and execute on bringing new innovative Structural Heart technologies and business models to the SEA Region Healthcare system.
  • Working closely with our sales team, internal resources and physicians to develop marketing plans, strategies and messaging around Structural Heart therapies.
  • Focused on market share, procedural share and top line growth for the overall portfolio.

Major Responsibilities:

SEA overall strategy development

  • Supporting the country manager, develop SEA overall marketing long-term strategy and action plans based on understanding details from each country within SEA. Responsible to articulate the right strategies based on diverse input from different stakeholders.

SEA overall Goals & Objectives (KPI) development & tracking

  • Define the best KPI to track the progress vs. target to evaluate the performance and to further articulate the strategy and action plans

Product portfolio management

  • Responsible for new product launches from registration, new generation introduction, market development activities to drive market leadership or market penetration.
  • This will also include any necessary strategies including pricing strategy to strengthen Abbott product positioning within the market. Interacts directly with APAC product managers to identify new marketing opportunities and to receive necessary support and guidance for marketing activities/programs​

Marketing budget planning & management

  • Responsible for marketing budget planning & management based on the strategy and activity planning and franchise level prioritization.
  • Provide the right guidance to each local country in terms of executing marketing budget to maximize the impact of marketing spending.
  • Identifies unmet customer requirements and new business opportunities and provides vision and focus to move products from idea to market place based on the close collaboration with the sales team.
  • Works individually or with a team in recommending action, scheduling and planning projects, estimating cost and managing projects to completion.

Market model, data & business intelligence management

  • Develop and manage the SEA market models to project the market outlook to support any of strategic direction decision making process and investment planning.
  • Also responsible for collecting market data and business intelligence by collaborating with the sales team of each country in SEA region.
  • Support the team to understand the market insight using the database with the right level of data analytics and regular update.

Business Partnership and Stakeholder Management

  • Must be able to deliver business partnership management including distributors.
  • Responsibilities may also include: coordinating trade show activities, website development, developing future digital marketing strategies, and tracking of marketing campaigns to evaluate results and provide recommendations for marketing promotions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Sciences or related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in marketing, cardiac medical devices experience preferred. Candidates with prior medical device sales background are advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, quick thinker and decision-making skills
  • Proven interpersonal, presentation skills and business acumen
  • Strong communication skills, able to align priorities and execute in a disciplined manner.
  • Must be a good team player with cross functional teams to maximize the synergy.
