About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Java Backend Engineer (SDE-2) to join our Gurgaon team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems, ensuring high performance and reliability. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Java, data structures, algorithms, system design, and multithreading.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services using Java and related technologies.
• System Design: Architect and implement complex, distributed systems with a strong focus on scalability, availability, and performance.
• Data Structures & Algorithms: Write efficient, optimized, and well-structured code using fundamental DSA principles.
• Multithreading & Concurrency: Develop and optimize multi-threaded applications, ensuring thread safety and efficient resource management.
• Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks, optimize queries, and improve overall application performance.
• Code Quality & Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable, and testable code while following industry best practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality features.
• Testing & Debugging: Ensure robust test coverage and debug complex production issues efficiently.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-4 years of experience in developing software using Java is needed.
• Programming: Strong proficiency in Java and the Java ecosystem.
• Multithreading & Concurrency: Hands-on experience in writing concurrent applications, thread pools, synchronization, and parallel processing.
• Data Structures & Algorithms: Strong problem-solving skills and deep understanding of DSA.
• System Design: Good knowledge of low-level & high-level design, scalability, caching, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Database Management: Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Frameworks: Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, or other Java-based frameworks.
