About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and collaborative Scientist to join our In Vitro Pharmacology team. This individual will be an integral team member, supporting lead optimization campaigns and due diligence for validating pharmacology targets in the context of multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include developing, optimizing, executing, and analyzing in vitro pharmacology assays under minimal supervision to generate high quality and reproducible results. Critical analysis and insightful interpretation of cell-based functional, biochemical, and binding assay data is essential to identify lead molecules and contribute to the understanding of potency and mechanism of action. The individual will also be responsible for documenting protocols and regularly presenting clear written and verbal data summaries. The work is fast-paced and process-oriented in an environment where efficiency and continuous improvement are integral goals.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):

Develop, perform, and optimize routine assays to support lead identification

Responsible for generating high quality data and contributing to data analysis and reporting

Rapidly learn and implement new assays and analysis methods

Track and document assay performance

Effectively multitask and advance various projects simultaneously without compromising data quality or reproducibility

Work independently as well as in a team environment toward timely execution of shared team deliverables
Requirements:
-
BS/BA degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, including practical experience with a broad range of in vitro biological assays (experience with GPCR pharmacology is desired)

MS/MA degree in Molecular Pharmacology or related field and some similar experience as noted above OR

PhD in Molecular Pharmacology or related field with similar experience as noted above

Experience and knowledge of mammalian cell culture and techniques

Outstanding experimental design, problem-solving, and data analysis skills

Experience using laboratory automation, inventory systems, data analysis (curve fitting, determination of potency, affinity, efficacy) and informatics systems

Good knowledge of human physiology (nervous and endocrine systems)

Enthusiasm for developing an expanding technical and theoretical knowledge base
-
Excellent communication (written and verbal), time management, organizational and interpersonal skills to ensure operational excellence of daily laboratory needs

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $88,000.00-$127,550.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
