Guided by experienced engineering professionals, the SCADA/Network Engineer intern will gain valuable skills, knowledge, and experience relevant to AEUG's business operations and maintenance activities

Job Description

Internship Highlights:

 

o   Training opportunities may include participation in different projects/areas, working with Acciona engineering and maintenance professionals that support operational engineering functions, which includes Wind and Solar PV/Storage.

o   Experience and exposure may include, but is not limited to the different stages of a project life cycle: development, preconstruction, construction, and maintenance.

o   Training opportunities include technical training, training on specific competencies, monitoring and evaluating individual performance, and feedback from the mentoring supervisory throughout the program.

o   Acquiring an understanding of the reliability process of wind turbines including planned maintenance activities, deficiencies in turbine performance, and techniques to improve equipment performance.

o   Exposure to root cause analysis, the work management system and the development of reports and action plans, and other operational activity reports.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

o   Undertake assigned work with diligence and commitment to produce high quality outputs

o   Apply academic learning to the workplace environment

o   Participate in designated teams to achieve work outcomes

o   Provide reports, analysis, and research on relevant issue, as directed

o   Contribute to team meetings and perform effectively as a member of the team

o   Undertake professional and personal development to complement on-the-job learning

o   Carry out duties in accordance with AEUG health, safety, environment, and quality policies, principles, corporate values, and strategies.

Required Skills and Competencies

Qualifications:

o   Enrollment in a B.S. in Electrical Engineering degree program or related like electronics/computer engenieer,  completion of the first (3) years preferred

o   Capacity to work on varied activities, managing multiple simultaneous projects in a fact-paced environment

o   Technically astute and capable of expertise-based problem solving

o   High attention to detail and commitment to produce high quality outputs

o   Make decisions based on accepted quality standards, policies and procedures

o   An effective team-worker who can work independently when required

o   Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to learn from experienced engineers

o   High level of computer literacy, including using computer applications such as (e-mail, internet, MS Office, etc.)

o   Willingness and flexibility to travel (if applicable)

o   Have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
