Bristow Helicopters UK Search & Rescue are inviting applications from qualified and experienced SAR Winch Operator at our Lydd SAR Base.
The Winch Operator will be responsible for airborne and ground based duties of a UK SAR Winch Operator including compliance with all manuals and regulations pertinent to their employment.
Minimum experience and qualifications
Hold or be qualified to hold a SAR Tech Crew Attestation (TCA) in accordance with CAP 999;
Comply with all the requirements of CAP 999, specifically TCA training;
Comply with the specified requirements of Part-MED i.e. holding a valid class 2 medical
Have Level 4 English language proficiency,
One year’s previous experience on a dedicated SAR unit as a Winch Operator on helicopters
Minimum medical experience and qualifications
Experience in prehospital care is essential; the individual will be assessed as to their ability to hold the BHL SAR Medical Technician scope of practice.
Must be able to meet the requirements associated with the Pre Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) Skills Framework associated with descriptor Level E (mandatory) or Level F (desirable).
