Position Summary: As SAP Finance Business Analyst you will be responsible for the architecture, setup, configuration, testing and support of core SAP Finance and Controlling functions. You will be in close contact with business as well as other members of the ERP team. In this role, you are able to translate business requirements into efficient solutions to optimize business processes
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of SAP FI/CO solutions tailored to the packaging and distribution industry.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and IT teams to understand business needs and identify areas for improvement in financial processes.
• Gather and analyze detailed requirements for SAP FI/CO modules, ensuring alignment with industry-specific needs and best practices.
• Design and configure solutions in SAP Finance and Controlling modules, including GL, AR, AP, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Acctg, and Profit Center Acctg
• Develop functional specifications for custom developments, reports, interfaces, and workflows specific to packaging and distribution operations.
• Lead requirement gathering sessions and translate complex business needs into technical requirements.
• Ensure seamless integration between FI/CO and other modules like MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), and WM (Warehouse Management).
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on SAP FI/CO best practices and industry standards.
• Conduct user training sessions and develop comprehensive documentation for end-users.
• Participate in full lifecycle SAP implementations, upgrades, and enhancement projects.
• Stay current with the latest SAP FI/CO updates and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance business processes
Qualifications:
- Participates in FICO configuration, functional documentation, testing plans, system documentation and training materials
- Create and maintain documentation on SAP FICO business processes
- Part of SAP ERP team accountable for resolving SAP issues, change requests, enhancements raised
- Support SAP FI-CO projects from requirements gathering, solution design, specifications development, testing and rollout and training.
- Willingness to learn related applications and integration technologies that contribute to the end-to-end process integration with SAP
- Perform business process mapping using standard methodologies
- Investigate to help quickly diagnose, perform root cause analysis, and resolve production issues
- Quality testing and working with users to gain user acceptance testing
- Be part of the team to Deliver projects within a fixed time/effort model
- Liaises with global SAP support team on overall FI-CO support and projects
- Collaborate directly with business groups to resolve any finance related issues and develop recommendations to best address issues.
- Support all key integration areas with Finance and controlling.
Required:
- Minimum of 1+ years of SAP finance functional experience required
- 1+year experience in implementation or leading SAP finance related efforts
- Bachelor’s Degree in information systems, computer science, engineering or business streams
- Knowledge of all integration points with other modules like SD/ MM with SAP FICO.
- Experience with system management processes, business requirements gathering, solution design and configuration, and user acceptance testing.
- Experience creating business process diagrams including business process procedures as necessary.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work as part of a cross functional team.
- Experience and understanding of some of the following SAP financial solutions is a plus including:
- GL, (including New GL Functionality)
- Asset Accounting
- Accounts Payables and Receivables including customer billing and payments
- Financial Organizational Structures and Master Data
- Controlling functions
- Internal and External Financial Management Reporting
- Financial supply chain module (FSCM)
- Third party tax software services integrations with SAP like VERTEX or other tools
- Profit center and cost center accounting
- Special Ledger and Financial reporting flows
- Cash and treasury functions
Preferred:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment or consulted in manufacturing projects]
- Experience working in high-volume production facilities.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package at Gotion, and is determined within a range. This provides you with the opportunity to progress as you grow and advance your career at Gotion. The base pay range for this role is shown below, and will depend on your skills, qualifications, experiences, and location.
