Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
The Business Systems team is responsible for building and improving the many systems that enable Anduril to accomplish its mission. Anduril’s supply chain, accounting, sales & growth, engineering, modeling & simulation, field maintenance, manufacturing, and many more teams rely on the technology built and maintained by our team. We work across the company to ensure we have the tools and capabilities necessary for mission success.
We are looking for a Salesforce Technical Architect to join our team as we build out a robust suite of products and functionality to support our rapidly growing organization and stakeholder groups including Growth, Business Development, Legal, Investor Relations, Deployment Operations, Accounting and other teams who all use Salesforce as their “home base”. If you are passionate about bringing the very best capabilities in Salesforce to life and want to join the most mission-oriented and passionate group of coworkers you’ll ever meet, this job is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
As the Salesforce Technical Architect, you will be responsible for guiding the overall technical direction of Salesforce implementation projects. To succeed, you must possess a broad range of Salesforce technical knowledge, complemented by extensive expertise in the Salesforce platform. Your primary focus will be on designing and overseeing the delivery of complex Salesforce initiatives, from the discovery phase through to deployment. You need to be a self-motivated professional with a proactive approach and a strong passion for resolving intricate business and technology challenges. Most importantly, you have a “roll up your sleeves” mindset when it comes to coding on a regular basis alongside our team of Salesforce software developers, with a mindset on building for outcomes instead of output. Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with the Salesforce Product Manager to ensure that the Salesforce platform is fully aligned with business objectives by maximizing the platform’s capabilities and architecting scalable solutions.
- Converting business requirements into well-architected solutions that fully utilize the capabilities of the Salesforce platform.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to define technical requirements, deliverables, and manage expectations effectively.
- Designing and customizing solutions on Salesforce Government Cloud Plus, ensuring alignment with industry best practices by staying current with new Salesforce technologies, platform enhancements, releases, and industry trends.
- Leading technical design sessions, generating POCs, documenting architectural solutions aligned with stakeholder objectives, and identify gaps between the platform’s current state and desired outcomes.
- Collaborating with developers to implement custom solutions when necessary, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
- Establishing and upholding coding standards; conducting code reviews throughout projects to maintain quality and adherence to appropriate design patterns.
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including system architecture, configurations, and customizations.
- Managing the technical aspects of custom development, integrations, and data migration within Salesforce implementations.
- Addressing stakeholder expectations while collaborating on feasible solutions for complex challenges.
- Partnering with our developers to code and build on our GovCloud Plus platform, including integrations between Salesforce and external applications using REST, SOAP APIs, oAuth, SSO.
Required Characteristics:
Anduril is an extremely fast-paced defense manufacturing and technology startup that is rapidly scaling itself. Our culture is one of ambition, hard work, relentless pursuit of excellence, and deliberate disruption. This is not a “clock-in, clock-out”, 9-to-5 sort of job. We can only hire people who are “in it to win it”. The successful candidate will be one who demonstrates the follow core characteristics:
- Bias for Action - they ask for forgiveness, not permission, and hate the idea of waiting around to be told what to do
- Dive Deep - they sweat the details and roll up their sleeves to uncover the root causes for systemic issues
- Ownership - they care deeply not just about their systems, but for all the business outcomes that their systems supports as well, holding themselves accountable for everything it both does and fails to do
- Agility - they change directions easily and without regret, quickly adapting to shifting business priorities
- First Principles Thinking - they approach problems and develop solutions not based on what a vendor recommends or because it’s how they did things at their last job, but from a deep appreciation of what is best for the enterprise
Qualifications:
- 10+ years Salesforce platform experience, the majority specifically with Salesforce CRM.
- 5 - 7+ years Salesforce technical architect experience.
- Expertise in one or multiple Salesforce Clouds including Sales, Service, CRM Analytics, Experience, Marketing, Data, Financial, etc.
- Expertise in defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes.
- Deep knowledge and experience of Salesforce development and configuration. Specifically:
- Expertise in systems architecture and ability to design scalable performance-driven solutions.
- Expertise in key design patterns, data modeling, and large data volume limitations and best practices

- Understanding of platform authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth)
- Expertise in environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies
- Experience with platform security capabilities (Named Credentials, TLS, SSL)
- Understand core technical principles of Salesforce for integration, networking, infrastructure, security, data modeling and DevOps.
- Advanced knowledge of Apex, Trigger and Lightning Flow Design Patterns and development experience
- Extensive LWC, JavaScript, Web components, HTML design and development experience.
- Knowledge of data integration tools and experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems (ETL, ESB, reporting, etc.)
- Exposure and experience in Einstein and AI product capabilities.
- Strong background in design/development of large web-based or client server systems, or complete software product lifecycle exposure
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design and database design.
- Up-to-date knowledge and training on latest Salesforce release, features and developments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills (both written and oral).

- Aerospace and Defense industry experience a major plus.
- Bonus points for ERP integrations experience.
