The PositionThe PositionThe Solution Architect is responsible for defining and communicating a shared technical and architectural vision across a Solution / Release Train in accordance with the overall Informatics technology strategy and principles to help ensure the (SFDC) system or Solution under development is fit for its intended purpose. Solution Architects ensure that the system is designed to run as expected, has built-in observability, balances emergent design and takes a system view across the full value stream.
- The SFDC expert in this position will work with product managers, product line leads and the business stakeholders to enable the design and development of an integrated view of the business processes and the associated business landscape for the purpose of identifying current and future opportunities for optimization, integration and knowledge sharing.
- The solution architect will align with the enterprise architects and other solution architects to realize the vision of the domain and promote platform thinking, reusability and interoperability.
- You will also responsible to work with the ART to ensure delivery. Provides insight to key innovative technology trends and is dedicated to learning and supporting the evolution of technology within the vertical industry, which has the potential to accelerate the fulfillment of the business strategic vision. Using dashboards and governance boards, provides continuing communication to provide the business an overview of the progress of current IT innovation(s).
Scope of Activities
- Provides strategic consultation to assigned line-of-business (LOB) customers in defining or designing business processes, functions and organizational structures, as well as using customer requirements in researching, identifying and internally marketing enabling technologies.
- Assesses current state of solutions, defines future state needs, identifies gaps and recommends new technology solutions and strategic business execution improvements
- Facilitate stakeholder sessions with personnel across all disciplines in the company to identify and define requirements, assess business processes and evaluate technology solutions
- Conduct solution architecture research, PoCs, PoVs, feasibility assessment and facilitate solution application selections
- Formulate business and logical data and solution architectures comprised of software, network, hardware and integration designs
- Business process engineering and the ability to re-engineer as well as conducts impact assessments and mitigation plans
- Works closely with Enterprise Architects on defining long term architecture vision, integration patterns and review of technical portfolio.
- Creates and owns the Solution Architecture documentation
- Develops IT Strategy & Roadmap consistent with the overall strategic needs of the business division.
Skills and Credentials
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
