Our North American Pipe and Fittings operations are seeking applicants for a Sales Specification Engineer – Midwest Region. We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic Engineers who wish to work with our sales team as a sales engineer with a focus on sales support though product specifications. This position will interface with sales, product development, quality control, manufacturing and technical services to ensure Westlake Pipe & Fittings products are properly positioned in the market. The primary deliverables of this position consist of the following elements:

Working closely with the Midwest Regional sales team, promoting Westlake Pipe & Fittings products by ensuring our products are eligible for tender via qualifying our products for use on upcoming large projects and general usage within the Midwest Region

Working closely with contractors, consulting engineers, municipal engineering departments and regional governments throughout the Midwest Region to ensure correct design, specification and application of our complete product line within the municipal and golf sectors

Attend and present at technical conferences and participate in industry technical committees

Provide the sales team with technical sales support throughout the Midwest Region

Regular traveling throughout assigned territory with particular emphasis on fast growing areas of the Region while liaising with municipal engineering departments and consulting engineers

Delivering technical presentations to municipalities and consulting engineers
You will discover yourself balancing office work with a field presence on the job site and at corporate customer premises. This is a career that offers a social dimension similar to sales personnel in addition to engineering, so the best fit will be individuals who enjoy that mix of empirical assignments coupled to relationship management in a professional environment.
This position is targeting graduates from a recognized Civil Engineering program who have their P.E.
Ideally, you will offer 5-10 years’ relevant experience and keen interest in becoming a key player in a successful, historically fast-growing sales region.
The location of employment is flexible with travel expected throughout the Region.
