SALES SPECIALIST
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE SALES SPECIALIST
- Manages an existing sustained customer base with a minimum sustained territory size of $5 million up to $15 million.
- Territory will include transactional and strategic accounts.
- Generates a minimum of 15% new profitable sales each fiscal year.
- Spends at least 50% of time focusing on growth through new & existing customers via new and existing products.
- Manages time and territory in conjunction with manager on a bi-weekly basis.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED FOR THE SALES SPECIALIST
- Candidates must be located in New York, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania
- Five years minimum sales/relationship management experience
- 25-50% travel required
- Four-year college degree, preferably in Marketing or a related discipline.
- Understands the key business drivers; uses this knowledge in own work.
- Expands fundamental knowledge in own function and broadens skills.
- Accountable for technical contribution to a project team or sub-team.
- Works with others to achieve team goals through expanded knowledge and skills within own function. May be accountable for subsets for project deliverables.
- Aware of costs and assists in controlling costs related to own work.
- Proficient knowledge of product offerings, product functionality, and alloy applications.
- Proficient knowledge of markets and pricing practices/policies.
- Customer focused - Responds to non-standard requests from customers; investigates with assistance from others as needed.
- Flexibility when faced with frequently changing priorities.
- Strong goal and results orientation; high energy.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
- Strong quantitative and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Ability to utilize knowledge of systems and processes to optimize workflow.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills.
- Effectiveness with multiple information systems, both mainframe and PC-based.
