Job scope

The Automation Sales and Proposals department under FLSmidth Cement consists of a global team of sales and proposal engineers providing commercial offering to the cement industry customers globally.

This multidiscipline team, comprised of engineers of all backgrounds based in different part of the world like China, India, Denmark, Spain, Brazil, and America. The group mission is to support customers and bring orders.  

Your responsibilities

  • Meet with key regional customers and build long term business relationships.

  • Act as the primary customer contact for product line, building and maintaining strong relationships.

  • Provides input for development of client retention and growth plans and strategies for developing profitable business with assigned accounts.

  • Participate in the proposal phase with technical assistance, plant audits, equipment specifications, estimations, and analysis within important stakeholders.

  • Propose and implement sales strategies to increase market share; build value propositions and ROI to differentiate FLS.

  • Complete regular entries and updates in CRM application to include contacts, appointments and opportunities and account plans.

  • Develops and manages sales pipelines with prospective clients.

  • Ensure all projects meet or exceed sales objectives and budgets.

  • Collaborate in comprehensive matrix organization providing effective collaboration with District Sales Managers , Automation Product Managers and rest of sales and proposal global team.

What you bring

  • 5+ years’ experience in business-to-business sales in cement industry specially in Automation and Lab Automation.

  • Direct sales experience with a proven track record Experience in Sales in Middle East and Africa

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Must be organized and possess the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

  • Growth-minded and self-driven.

  • Ability to travel upto 50% of the time.

  • Eagerness to drive sales with a competitive spirit.

  • Professional communication and presentation skills.

  • Experience with B2B sales of laboratory equipment's in cement plants is considered advantage.
