About the role

We are looking for a Sales & Operations Trainee to join our team in Milan. If you’re a fast learner who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys solving problems, and is eager to gain hands-on experience across sales, account management, and business operations, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

This role is ideal for someone who has strong critical thinking skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to pick up new concepts quickly. If you love learning, taking ownership of challenges, and making an impact, we’d love to hear from you!

Main responsibilities:

  • Inbound Sales & Client Onboarding – Engage with potential clients, qualify leads, educate them about our offerings, and guide them through a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Sales & Deal Closing – Understand client needs, communicate value effectively, and close deals to help grow the business.
  • Distributor Account Management – Build and manage strong relationships with distributor partners, ensuring they have the support they need to succeed.
  • Sales Operations & Process Optimization – Improve efficiency, analyze bottlenecks, and contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration – Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Business Operations teams to develop strategies, refine workflows, and contribute to overall company growth.

The role reports to the Senior Partnerships Manager in Milan.

Requirements
  • A recent graduate or final-year student (thesis pending) from any discipline – we value intelligence, problem-solving, and adaptability over specific backgrounds.
  • A fast learner with strong analytical skills and a curious, resourceful mindset.
  • A proactive self-starter who enjoys taking ownership of projects and solving challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with people confidently.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Empatica is an international environment with offices in Europe and the US, and so we conduct all our work in English.
  • This role will be based in our Milan office.
