Job Summary:
The Sales Operations Research Specialist is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of Salesforce data by cleaning up, researching, and updating account, contact, and lead records. This role involves conducting in-depth research on brokerage firms, identifying duplicate records, identifying and tagging correct master account designation, and completing missing data fields. The specialist will also work on special ad hoc and on-demand projects, supporting sales operations initiatives through data validation and data hygiene efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit and clean up inaccurate Salesforce data for accounts, contacts, and leads.
- Identify duplicate records in Salesforce and properly mark master accounts.
- Conduct web-based research to validate and enrich brokerage firm details and contact information.
- Ensure all necessary data points are captured, verified, and updated in Salesforce.
- Work on special ad hoc projects as assigned by the Sales Operations team.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to support data accuracy initiatives.
- Maintain data hygiene best practices to improve reporting accuracy and sales efficiency.
- Identify trends in data inconsistencies and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in data management, sales operations, or research roles is a plus.
- Previous experience in lead generation and sales research is a plus.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and validation.
- Proficiency in web research techniques to verify and enhance contact and account information.
- Ability to analyze and identify duplicate and incomplete records.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, and data management best practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects.
- Ability to work independently and manage on-demand and ad hoc tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with sales and operations teams.
- Strong understanding of lead generation methodologies, including:
- Web scraping and online research techniques.
- Utilizing LinkedIn, company websites, and industry directories to find decision-makers.
- Experience working with data validation and hygiene best practices to maintain CRM integrity.
- Familiarity with data mining, database segmentation, and contact verification strategies.
- Ability to work efficiently with spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets) for data analysis and cleanup.
