This highly visible Sales Manager role encompasses responsibilities for the successful launch, initial market acceptance and first line management of sales team for the Service Robots and Smart Device product lines in the healthcare environment for Futronics. This position is focused on meeting the overall sales targets and managing expenses and budget as defined by the company. He or she will be responsible for leading and developing a sales team with respect to daily management, leadership, reporting and quota attainment. The Sales Manager will be responsible for deal structures within the limits of a tiered pricing program, hiring and leading a group of field-based Sales Representatives, developing go to market strategies and business plans for the region. This position will regularly interact with senior leadership to capitalize on business and present as the regional product expert.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as a key member of the Futronics Business Development team to formulate and execute aggressive sales, marketing, and distribution strategy to accelerate Futronics adoption and market acceptance within assigned geography.
- Keep all approved position filled and establish a clear business plan for assigned geography.
- Streamline and optimize sales and business development operations in assigned geography, while consistently meeting or exceeding performance goals and targets.
- Develop and present comprehensive regional business plans to identify and develop key accounts, evaluate risks, and work out migration plans with regards to overall business and personnel.
- Demonstrated success in leading a complex sales-process with a diverse group of customer stakeholders and decision makers.
- Earn customer confidence as the subject matter expert for products from Futronics or competitors.
- Representing region as a key team member with the existing Futronics organization to capture opportunities and report status, updates and progress during management conference calls, company meetings and on the company CRM system.
- Serve as regional liaison providing accurate representation of customer needs to Futronics internal cross-functional departments and play a key role in defining and executing the product roadmap.
- Provide accurate timely sales, forecasting and expense reimbursement reporting.
Education and Experience (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Requires Bachelor’s degree in Medical, Technical, or Business field or equivalent experience.
- Must have 7 years of sales or related business development experience. Experience in Life Science or Medical Device Preferred. Management experience preferred.
- Candidates with capitol sales and/or Robotics experience preferred.
- Must be self-motivated and possess integrity, initiative, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills highly desired.
- Ability to proactively anticipate and address customer needs, technical and use case concerns.
- Drive sales through a Total Solutions approach to streamline and increase Sales opportunities and build customer relationships.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills in order to build effective, lasting relationships with customers and stake holders.
- Individual must conduct themselves in a diplomatic and tactful manner with professionals and non-professionals at all levels.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate, problem solve, and adapt to a fast-changing environment with ease.
- Able to travel 50% of the time, covering the entirety of the assigned territory. Potential of 1-3 overnights a week.
