We are pleased to present an excellent opportunity to join our external sales team as a Sales Manager. This role involves overseeing sales across the South of the UK, managing an established territory with a strong existing client base and significant potential for further growth.
We are looking for a results-driven professional with a strategic mindset to drive continued success and development within this key region.
This is a remote working role with regular travel across the south of the UK - a company car is provided.

Summary: 
As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of sales activities within the UK South sales territory, applying knowledge of the KJLC organisation, products and services to meet and exceed customer demands and business growth goals. Effectively driving the growth and expansion of strategic accounts within the territory, resulting in higher business and profitability, by leveraging expertise in scientific vacuum technology and thin film deposition. This role is highly proactive and focused on achieving results.
Key Job Elements:

  • Work to develop a sales strategy together with Area Sales Manager to identify, target and secure new OEM’s and customers in the target market segments and applications
  • Support and grow a profitable sales territory by building and maintaining strong customer relations
  • Drive the business forward by providing customers with “high level” assistance through advanced selling skills, commercial, value-added engineering and supply chain management knowledge
  • Respond to customer requests for quotation, technical support, customer service etc. by effectively utilising resources available
  • Efficient organisation of customer visits and hybrid meetings as required to achieve sales targets and develop business opportunities
  • When required provide and present data and statistical analysis through high level use of D365 and the CRM tool
  • To actively identify areas of new business and potential customers within the territory and researching fresh business and market opportunities
  • To be fully conversant with products and keep up to date with new technological developments. Full training will be provided on an ongoing basis
  • To provide weekly statistical information as requested by management to include but not limited to visit plan, call analysis, customer feedback surveys and territory KPI’s
  • Liaise with the Area Sales Manager, EMEIA Sales Manager and Marketing regarding competitor and market information
  • Responsible for the completion and submission of any tenders within your territory
  • Regular overnight travel for customer visits, exhibitions, training requirements etc.


Qualifications:
Required

  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrable positive mental attitude. Self-driven, organised, and proactive.
  • Background in vacuum technology or similar mechanical engineering/relevant knowledge and experience.
  • Degree level qualification in an Engineering / Scientific discipline
  • ERP/ CRM system experience
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight regularly
