WisdomTree is seeking a German Sales, based in Munich to join the German Speaking Regions (GSR) Sales Team as it continues its successful growth across the region. As part of an open and collaborative environment, there is opportunity for the successful candidate to thrive and grow.

 

The successful candidate will report to the Head of German Speaking Regions in this role, jointly driving sales and business development efforts with professional clients in GSR. 


· Generate net new assets and increase WisdomTree’s ETF/ETP market share in the German market.

· Establish, develop and maintain client relationships in Germany with a focus on institutional and intermediary clients.

· Work closely with the team’s head to develop and execute the distribution plan in GSR.

· Embrace a client centric and value-added sales approach – understand client needs and leverage internal experts and specialists to translate those needs into opportunities and build and maintain credibility with clients.

Key Accountabilities and Scope

  • Meet and manage progress against annual individual flow and activity targets, while contributing to the broader team and business objectives.
  • Distribute WisdomTree ETFs and ETPs across institutional and intermediary clients in the German Speaking Region.
  • Establish, develop and maintain client relationships in Germany.
  • Act as a local sales representative, point of contact and knowledgeable resource for WisdomTree professional clients in GSR.
  • Identify and anticipate client requirements, expectations and needs – share those with the relevant internal stakeholders and be an authority in your market and client segment.
  • Work closely with the team’s head to define local plans and focus initiatives.
  • Help develop and execute a detailed distribution plan across institutions and intermediaries in GSR leveraging internal marketing and research resources (outline how sales, marketing, and research activities will be coordinated, planning and accountability of events and aid with PR messaging and activities)
  • Become an expert about WisdomTree ETFs and ETPs and the various structures, methodologies and regulatory requirements.
  • Share and distribute WisdomTree’s investment ideas and research to new and existing clients.
  • Build a strong and collaborative working relationship with internal stakeholders (research, marketing, PR, product development, compliance, capital markets, etc.), always promoting an excellent and positive teamwork culture.
  • Remain abreast of industry and market trends and ensure WisdomTree is well positioned to take advantage of local market opportunities.
  • Update, maintain and grow the internal CRM and map client organisations.
  • Ensure all relevant contacts, meetings, notes and activities are entered timely and accurately into the CRM.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of proven sales and business development experience within the asset management industry.
  • Native in German, fluent in English
  • A comprehensive understanding of the investor landscape and relevant client base in the German Speaking Regions.
  • Existing client relationships and experience in developing strong relationships across client segments.
  • Previous experience with ETFs/ETPs is necessary.
  • Knowledge of ETFs/ETPs and their appeal to investors.
  • Strong markets knowledge and related analytical skills.
  • Diligence, attention to detail and strong communication/interpersonal skills are key requirements.
  • Proactive and self-motivated team player with an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset.
