Intro and job overview:
Precisely’s Summer Internship Program is a paid, part-time opportunity for undergraduate students actively enrolled in university. This is an 10-week program that begins June 9th and ends on August 15th. This opportunity is 100% remote and you must be located in the United States during the summer internship. The Sales Engineering Intern will work closely with the Pre-Sales team.
As a Sales Engineering Intern at Precisely, you will gain hands-on experience in understanding the functional and technical aspects of Precisely’s products. You will learn how to effectively map customer requirements to product capabilities, enhancing your ability to support the sales process. Throughout the internship, you will explore the inner workings of a sales cycle, collaborating with various team members to understand their roles and contributions. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining and updating our demo environments to ensure its functionality. You will also gain insights into how the Presales team interacts with other key departments, including Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Services, and Support. A key part of your role will involve helping to develop and assemble software demos, allowing you to apply your technical knowledge in real-world scenarios while contributing to the success of the team.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Proof of Concepts (PoCs): Develop and present comprehensive Proof of Concepts to demonstrate the feasibility and potential impact of proposed solutions, showcasing the technical capabilities and benefits to prospective clients.
- Software Prototypes: Create and refine software prototypes to illustrate the functionality and user experience of proposed solutions, providing clients with a tangible preview of the final product.
- Point of View (PoV) Documents: Craft detailed Point of View documents that articulate the unique value proposition of our solutions, addressing client-specific challenges and outlining the strategic advantages of our offerings.
- Proof of Value (PoV) Artifacts: Generate Proof of Value artifacts that validate the effectiveness and ROI of our solutions, using data-driven insights and real-world examples to build client confidence and support the sales process
Requirements and qualifications:
- Precisely's internship program is designed for rising junior and senior undergraduate students who graduate after August 2025.
- We prefer candidates located in Eastern Time Zone, but all time zones are welcome to apply
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be organized and analytical
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Skills
- Development experience with one or more programming languages
- Ability to work independently in small teams
- Self-motivated
