Team Details

The Sales Development Representative will join our sales team, directly contributing to RunPod’s mission to build and scale meaningful customer relationships. As part of the first group of SDRs, you’ll have a unique opportunity to help lay the groundwork for RunPod’s sales development motion. This team is on the frontlines of creating and qualifying new business opportunities, setting up meetings with prospects, and ensuring a strong pipeline of high-quality leads. Position Overview

The Sales Development Representative role is a unique entry-level opportunity to shape the foundation of RunPod’s sales development journey. You’ll drive growth by prospecting, engaging, and qualifying leads to build a strong pipeline for our Account Executives. Your work will focus on identifying potential customers, generating interest, and securing impactful meetings. Your Impact: As an SDR, you’ll drive RunPod’s growth by shaping first impressions, engaging prospects, and building a strong sales pipeline. This role empowers you to innovate, share insights, and refine processes, directly influencing our sales strategy and contributing to the organization’s success, with opportunities for professional development.

Location: This role has a  hybrid work structure, with the first 90 days in-office to ensure hands-on training and seamless onboarding during ramp period.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting & Research: Identify and research potential customers using tools like LinkedIn, HubSpot, and industry databases.
  • Outreach & Engagement: Execute multi-channel outreach via emails, calls, and LinkedIn messages to spark interest. Customize messaging to resonate with target personas.
  • Lead Qualification: Qualify leads using BANT criteria (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) to determine sales potential.
  • Meeting Setup: Schedule high-quality discovery calls or meetings for the Account Executive team, ensuring seamless handoffs.
  • CRM Management: Accurately document all prospecting and lead activity in HubSpot, maintaining data integrity and enabling team insights.
  • Continuous Improvement: Test new outreach techniques, share learnings with the team, and contribute to refining our sales motion.

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, customer-facing roles, or business development, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a startup work environment.
  • Successful completion of a background check.

Preferred:

  • Prior sales experience in a SaaS or tech company.
  • Knowledge of generative AI, cloud services, or developer-focused technologies.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful prospecting strategies or outreach campaigns.
  • Previous experience using CRM and sales tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Hubspot, and ZoomInfo.

What You’ll Receive:

  • The competitive base salary for this position ranges from $50,000 to $60,000, based on the Charlotte, NC market. This range may encompass multiple career levels at RunPod and will be further refined during the interview process, taking into account the candidate's experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, the role also offers an incentive commission.
