The Business Intelligence Analyst will play a key role in managing and optimizing data processes within the Business Development (BD) department at AGC Biologics. This position is responsible for overseeing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and SQL (Structured Query Language) processes, ensuring data quality and integrity, and creating impactful BD related data visualizations using Microsoft Power Platform tools. Acting as a data steward, the Business Intelligence Analyst will ensure that BD data is accessible, accurate, and trusted, while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in data management and visualization, with a focus on building databases and reports to drive business success. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Oversee and manage ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data efficiently from various sources. 

  • Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries to support data analysis and reporting needs.  

  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to provide actionable insights and support data driven decision-making. 

  • Leverage the Microsoft Power Platform to automate workflows and enhance data accessibility from diverse sources (Snowflake, Salesforce CRM, Evaluate Pharma, etc.). 

  • Manage the visualizations and reporting of the key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Business Development department. 

  • Develop and deliver regular and ad-hoc reports to monitor performance and identify trends. 

  • Ensure the correctness, completeness, and integrity of data in source databases to maintain high-level data quality. 

  • Develop and deploy Business Intelligence applications for Sales analytics projects. 

  • Implement processes and maintain a data inventory and data lineage to ensure transparency and traceability of data across the BD Dept, facilitating improvement in data quality. 

  • Act as a data steward to ensure that Business Development data is accessible, usable, safe, and trusted and drives efficient decision making. 

  • Establish and enforce data governance practices to maintain data security and compliance. 

  • Work closely with BD stakeholders to understand their data needs, data related risks and provide tailored solutions to mitigate risks. 

  • Serve as a trusted partner to support data-driven decision-making within the department. 

  • Use business data to create compelling visuals and dashboards that communicate insights effectively. 

  • Translate complex data into user-friendly insights for various audiences. 

  • Design, build, and maintain databases to support the department’s data needs. 

  • Develop and deliver data reports that align with business objectives and priorities. 

  • Support the digital transformation of the Lead to Contract process. 

  • Create user guides and training materials for team members. 

  • Recommend and help implement improvements to BI, business tools, data modeling and data management processes.

QUALIFICATIONS  

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Intelligence/Analytics or a related field (or equivalent experience). 

  • 0-2 years of experience in digitalization, data management, or a related field (internship experience is acceptable). 

  • Data savvy with the strong understanding of data models, query optimization, query profiling, and query performance monitoring tools and techniques. 

  • Basic knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus. 

  • You have hands on experience with Power BI, exposure to utilizing a data warehouse such as Snowflake. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. 

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and, documentation skills. 

  • You are keen to understand the business, ask questions and dive into the data. 

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes. 

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 

  • Familiarity with sales processes or the CDMO industry is a plus but not required. 

  • Strong communication skills in English (writing and speaking)
