We are searching for a PreSonus Japan Sales Associate, based Tokyo. Responsible for the performance of all sales activities in Japan, including maintenance of existing business as well as developing new channels or new customers as the product roadmap expands. Accountability for meeting annual revenue and profitability budgets in support of the Presonus strategic plan that will be communicated and updated regularly. Establish approved plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for clients and Account Executives.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Travel an estimated 7-10 days per month into the territory, to develop sales opportunities and form relationships with key dealers.
  • Prepares action plans for each dealer based on strengths, weaknesses and opportunities in each territory.
  • Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to onboard new dealerships and explore new channels & opportunities.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
  • Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance, market conditions.
  • Creates local promotions to present to Reports
  • Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and promotions for each dealer.
  • Assists Director, PreSonus Japan in preparation of proposals and presentations.
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the Sales team.
  • Recruits, tests, and hires future staff based on criteria agreed upon by senior management.
  • Insures that all Account Executives meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes.
  • Delegates authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.
  • Sets examples in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.
  • Has regular contact with dealers to build motivation and selling skills.
  • Maintains contact with all clients (dealers, contractors, sound companies) in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction, and to ensure that the Presonus brand is effectively supported
  • Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.

Qualifications:

  • N1 or Native level Japanese, business level English
  • 5-7 years of experience in sales management.
  • Experience with enterprise software solutions and large, complex organizations.
  • Extensive experience in Pro-audio Industry, Live Sound/Commercial Audio Markets.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
