ABOUT THE ROLE
Yoo-hoo! Calling all transaction loving, retail account obsessed, sales peeps! Does the thrill of identifying and contacting potential customers to generate new revenue get your blood pumping? Does just thinking about sales contracts and negotiations make you feel fresh as a daisy?
If you answered “Obvi” to the above questions, you might be the Sales Acquisition Lead we’ve been looking for! This role consists of maintaining sales pipelines, getting sh!t done, and attending trade shows, all while working with some pretty cool collaborators.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prospect, qualify, engage and convert new retail accounts focusing on sports, outdoor activities & fashion retailers
- Create enticement kits and seeding material tailored to focus retail markets to paint the ideal picture of what the goodr experience will look like
- Develop and maintain new and existing retailer relationships to support business success
- Identify high value opportunity markets and retailers to become partners with goodr
- Support Account Management team in upselling efforts to key retailers to expand assortment and increase revenue
- Deliver on individual sales channel KPIs
- Coordinate with legal team to ensure smooth contract negotiation and follow up
- Works with customers to determine SKU assortment, in store merchandising guidelines, contract details and work through any other planning negotiations that may arise
- Support in building out specialty onboarding SOP
- Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of goodr products
- Collaborate with other goodr flamingos to bring wild ideas to life for our customers
- Travel as needed for meetings and other events
- Provide timely responses and accurate information to customers and internal departments
- Maintain and update customer information in our CRM software
- Collab with your fellow sales flamingoes on anything and everything possible; because duplicating efforts is silly.. And not good silly. Bad silly.
- This role is in the Sales team and will report directly to the Director of Sales
- Perform other related duties as assigned
ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- May or may not have a degree...we don’t care (bonus points for Basset Hound Science or Dinosaur Law)
- Ask a lot of questions...and listens a lot too
- 3+ years of experience in the sales and a strong understanding of B2B lead generation strategies
- Clear understanding of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sales
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Known for being a master at communication
- Strong working knowledge of Netsuite and Asana is a BIG plus
- Familiarity with the sports and outdoors categories is preferred
- Mad bonus points for experience with CRM platforms
- Must be able to present materials comfortably in a group environment, or must be able to learn this skill quickly
- Has a valid driver’s license
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Loves the work more than a paycheck
- Thinks planning and organizing are fun
- Is happy to give away credit to their team
- Loves getting and giving feedback
- Is into personal growth
- Thinks Fun is being great (not partying)
- Is proactive and an independent problem solver! (Can you google a question?)
