Job Summary:

The Sales Account Executive identifies and pursues new market opportunities, establishes relationships with potential customers, and develops strategies to increase market share in assigned territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospects for potential new clients within our target market: Pool & Spa Retailers, Pool Builders, Pool & Spa Maintenance firms.

  • Proactively engages with potential clients through cold calling and strategic marketing efforts, initiating the first step towards long-lasting business relationships.

  • Skillfully secures sales agreements and proactively engages with the customer to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Crafts and executes targeted strategic plans aimed at breaking into and establishing a strong presence in new markets.

  • Cultivates and deepens relationships with prospective customers by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.

  • Designs and presents persuasive and customized presentations and proposals that effectively communicate value propositions to potential customers, driving business growth.

  • Collaborates with marketing team to develop targeted campaigns for new business acquisition.

  • Collaborates with the Business Development Representative to identify new business targets and optimize existing customer leads through market and industry analysis.

  • Partners with Sales Center, Regional and Divisional managers to grow the business.

  • Promptly finalizes and submits all required internal reports and documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in professional-level business-to-business sales, or BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales, or relevant field, or a combination of education and experience that provides the equivalent qualifications.

  • A proven track record of successful sales in a wholesale environment.

  • Ability to cold call on prospective clients.

  • A strong knowledge of one or more of the following product lines: pool related equipment, plumbing supplies, tile, decking, exterior lighting, patio furniture, construction materials, building supplies, chemicals, landscaping / irrigation supplies, HVAC supplies or similar tangible goods.

  • Holds a valid driver’s license, a “satisfactory” driving record (no more than 2 violations within 3 years) and is willing to travel 75% of the time within a designated area.

  • Occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.

  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of MS Office WORD and EXCEL.

  • Knowledge of AMP or similar customer management system preferred.

  • Knowledge of Prelude or similar inventory control software helpful.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
