Job Description
The CPP Investments’ CPA Rotational Analyst Program is designed to attract, develop and retain top-caliber students seeking to pursue a CPA designation in our Finance and Legal department. CPP Investments is a CPA Ontario approved certificated organization, and Rotational Analysts will experience two rotations within the eligible groups over a three-year period. Placements occur within different teams in A&A and Legal. Rotations are assigned to help you achieve key competency development areas and business needs and provides sufficient experience and mentorship to gain your CPA designation. Rotational Analysts will acquire functional and leadership competencies and after successfully completing the two rotations, you will be placed full-time within one of the eligible groups.
As a Rotational Analyst you will join a Program that goes beyond technical components to include formal training, apprenticeship, mentoring and meaningful performance management. You will join CPP Investments’ LAUNCH Program as new graduates which is designed to help you learn about different strategies, technical requirements and thought process needed to become successful in the firm. You will be encouraged to ask questions, be engaged and pursue both formal and informal learning opportunities.
You will quickly advance your knowledge and expertise through skills-based training and stimulating on-the-job assignments working in a high performing and collaborative environment with colleagues who are leading experts in their field.
Rotating across two teams will give you great insight into your abilities, interest and passions to grow your career at CPP Investments. Overview of Participating Groups
Legal’s (Assurance & Advisory) primary purpose is to provide reasonable independent assurance to Senior Management and the Audit Committee of CPP Investments over the adequacy and effectiveness of CPP Investments’ system of governance, risk management, and internal controls.
Finance enables the organization to make better business decisions, while ensuring the financial stewardship of the organization is maintained to a high standard. Finance is responsible for the organization’s financial reporting strategy, business and financial planning, valuations, performance measurement and other forms of management analytics, financial controls, and tax governance.
Qualifications
- Candidates in an undergraduate or advanced degree program seeking to obtain their CPA designation, who are able to start work in the Fall of 2025, are eligible to apply.
- Candidates with a strong track record of academic success while balancing extracurricular activities.
- Candidates with a strong set of interpersonal, thought leadership, relationship building and communication skills.
- Candidates that often combine energy, enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity, with a demonstrated interest in accounting, finance and analytics.
- A completed Graduate Diploma in Accounting, or equivalent CPA modules, is required prior to start date.
