The Role
The Robotics System Engineer at BlueSpace.ai will be responsible for system architecture development, gathering customer requirements, and ensuring the design meets performance needs. This role involves collaborating with engineering teams, creating testing pipelines, and exploring new product opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction in autonomous vehicle technology.
Summary Generated by Built In

BlueSpace.ai is revolutionizing the autonomous vehicle industry with our groundbreaking self-driving technology. Unlike conventional autonomy software, our patented 4D Predictive Perception removes reliance on data. By leveraging next-gen 4D sensors, we can precisely predict the motion of all objects, increasing accuracy, lowering latency, and setting a new standard for safety and efficiency in autonomy.

Our team consists of seasoned professionals from across the autonomous vehicle (AV) ecosystem, including OEMs, world-class research institutions, and leading autonomous driving companies. With a proven track record of successful AV service launches in California, Texas, and Florida, we are well-positioned to drive the next generation of autonomy.

We are seeking talented, self-motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and are passionate about making a significant impact on the future of mobility. If you’re driven to tackle the most complex challenges in autonomy and push the boundaries of what is possible, we want to hear from you.

System engineering at BlueSpace involves all aspects of a project, both technically and programmatically. You’ll meet with customers early and often to communicate BlueSpace’s capabilities, understand customer needs, generate requirements, and update plans when needed. Based on what you learn, you’ll collaborate with the engineering team to develop a system architecture that meets our customers’ needs, identify R&D areas, build out the hardware and software solution, and perform verification and validation of the system before customer delivery. To ensure we exceed customers’ expectations, you’ll support the engineering team in deriving component and performance requirements that lead to successful execution and create tests and testing pipelines that help the team rapidly iterate and catch issues early. Along the way, you’ll discover new product opportunities that will excite existing customers and bring in new ones.

Qualification and Experience

  • 7+ years of engineering experience.
  • Deep knowledge of architecting large-scale software/hardware systems at the edge.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering customer requirements and generating associated system-level and derived requirements.
  • Prior work creating software and hardware tests demonstrating system, subsystem, and component requirements are met.
  • Performed requirements development, verification, and validation for a fielded robotic system.
  • Development experience creating metrics pipelines and data analysis tools for software systems in Python.
  • Qualitative understanding of various techniques standard in robotics / autonomous systems.
  • Knowledge of the complete software stack architecture of autonomous systems.
  • Experience engaging with customers to deliver products.

Extra Credit

  • Deep expertise in one or more robotics disciplines.
  • C++ software development in large, complex codebases.
  • Experience refining and updating requirements throughout the entire product development life cycle.
