Strategic Marketing and Business Development Manager – Robotics Market
Analog Devices is one of the most innovative companies in the world. We are now growing our Robotics End Market Business Development team. The Robotics team develops leading intelligent edge solution for Industrial and Collaborative Robots, End of Arm Tools, Mobile Robots (AMR/AGV) and emerging Humanoid and Drones leveraging the huge basket of ADI technologies: from IC, to sub-system solutions to artificial intelligence.
The Business Development team drives the growth of revenue and market share for the Robotic End Market Segment. The team develops rigorous market analysis, builds and deepens customer relationships, collaborates across ADI and creates solutions to meet customers’ needs today and in the future. Ideal candidates, preferably with experience in Robotics companies or in the Robotics / End Effector / Industrial Vision ecosystem, possess strong analytical and technical aptitude, deep experience working with customers and sales, and collaborative abilities working across organization. Further, a results-oriented mindset of continuous learning and a vision for future markets and technologies is essential.
Within the role of Business Development, team members engage in all levels of the business process from initial market analysis to winning business. The market analysis process involves research, connecting multiple data points, identifying trends and comfort with financial analysis. Ideal candidates must then be capable of collaborating with the Applications and Marketing team to create the most effective Added Value for sales and customers. This resultsminded individual also needs to recognize near and long-term technology trends, and effectively communicate those trends within the team.

The Role
• Market analysis to identify target growing markets, associated technical needs, disruptions and inflection points
• Drive key customer engagement by presenting ADI Robotics Solutions
• Work with System Engineers to develop critical collaterals to boost the
business; both on the near term customer needs and on the long term
• Work with sales, customers and partners to build relationships, identify requirements and drive design wins and growth the robotic ecosystem
• Initiation of new product and solution developments based on market needs
• Strong knowledge of Analog Devices’ product offering and future developments
• Understanding of our competitors’ market positions, technical benefits and weak points
• Create and co-create media (videos, demos, technical seminars/webinars and trade press articles) that promote awareness of our products. Make our differentiation and unique value clear in these media.
• Collaboration across ADI to drive near term customer solutions and long-term technology solutions. Work with ADI Technology and Systems teams to shape our future products to deliver the largest value to the customer. Collect ideas and define new products with successful business projections.
• Develop international relationships with our Field Application Engineers, Sales Engineers and distributors via key training material creation and delivery.
• Be open to continue learning every day. Developing system level understanding in relevant application segments is crucial. Understand the customer system issues with a view to defining value-added solutions.

The Person
• 7~10 years of experience in business management and/or technical marketing experience (in robotics or robotics ecosystem or semiconductor preferred). Larger level of experience is appreciated
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Must have excellent and effective oral and written English communication skills
• Preferred good knowledge of Robotics applications, including fixed and mobile robots, end effectors, vision systems for robotics. Emerging applications
knowledge like Outdoor robotics and Humanoids are considered a plus
• Appreciated the ability to build business cases and calculate return on investment; define competitive assessments and track business opportunities
• Must be detail-oriented and able to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously
• Strong team player aiming to build a collaborative environment and interact inside and outside the organization. Critical thinking with a problem solving approach
• The position requires global travel on a quarterly basis (up to 10%-20% of the time).
