Robotics Regional Director (Territory includes IL, KS, MO, AR, MS)

Life Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.

What will you be doing?

As the Robotics Regional Director, you will develop, present, and close financial programs in hospitals tied to CORI robotics, with the goal of growing robotics units and driving the use of recon implants and consumables. You will serve as a strategic and financial robotics sales support function for the Recon VP, RVP(s), Directors of Sales, and Distribution Executives.

Your role will focus on hospitals, emphasizing capital-heavy, strategic, and financial responsibilities. Given the current market dynamics and business conditions, you will prioritize administrative selling and business development initiatives within the hospital environment. Your responsibilities will align with three key areas that support regional strategies: Capital Sales Execution, Cross-Divisional Program Collaboration, and Key Account Engagement. Through these efforts, you will play a significant role in advancing CORI robotics adoption and business success.

Sales Execution:

You will focus on achieving sales success within your assigned territories, aiming to meet or exceed annual sales quotas. In collaboration with the AVP of Strategic Sales, VP, AVPs, Directors of Sales, and Distributor Executives, you will work to achieve growth targets for robotics capital, recon implants, and consumables within the specified Recon AVP region. You will take ownership of building, presenting, and leading sophisticated financial programs that may include high-impact robotics capital, cross-divisional opportunities, and strategic partnerships. Demonstrating strong leadership, advanced negotiation skills, and outstanding business insight, you will lead robotics capital opportunities for Smith & Nephew to drive recon product pull-through in hospital settings.

You will maintain and lead the sales funnel by working with each AVP, DOS, and DE on monthly updates, providing a consolidated view to support the national funnel. Additionally, you will deliver accurate monthly and quarterly capital sales forecasts to the AVP. Your responsibilities will include crafting compelling selling presentations for hospital accounts, engaging with key customer and prospect accounts identified by the AVP, Directors of Sales, and Distribution Executives, and encouraging positive relationships with these accounts. You will also work closely with the AVP to provide program support and training for Directors of Sales and Distributor Executives.

Business Collaboration:

You will develop and implement creative financial solutions alongside AVPs, finance, business managers, Directors of Sales, Distributor Executives, and local representatives. Collaborating with cross-functional team members, you will create new sales programs that meet customer financial needs and share standard methodologies nationwide. Working with the Healthcare Systems Team, you will develop strategies to enhance national contracts within the hospital setting. Additionally, you will align with cross-divisional counterparts to support the national sales strategy and initiatives of Smith & Nephew Corporation.

Key Account Engagement:

Supporting Key Account Management initiatives in your region, you will engage with key customer accounts and surgeons to promote Smith & Nephew’s value and technology. By collaborating with surgeons, customer executives, and third-party financing teams, you will develop customized solutions that cultivate long-term partnerships and drive sustainable growth.

What will you need to be successful?

Your success will be driven by your understanding and execution of the capital sales process through the utilization of clinical champions through technical training pathways. Additionally, as a sales leader, you will be responsible for management, development and mentorship of the Robotics Development Manager in your region.
