Summary

Our proprietary GMR-AI™ software is integrated with state-of-the-art industrial robots, sensors, and tools to create application-specific turnkey solutions for customers through a Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) model.
We help manufacturers improve the quality of life for their workforce while increasing production capacity, and reducing scrap, repair, and rework costs. As a Robotics Engineer: Process, you will join our product team onsite in our Carson, CA office to develop and optimize processes for surface finishing and treatment, while working cross functionally to contribute to the design of new end-of-arm tools for manufacturing operations.
Role & Responsibilities

Develop and improve robotic manufacturing processes for applications such as, but not limited to, sanding, polishing, spray coating/coating removal, etc.

Collaborate with engineers to develop and optimize robotic manufacturing processes for surface finishing and treatment.

Support the team in enhancing process efficiency and product quality by applying knowledge of material science

Assist in the implementation of new end-of-arm tools (EOAT) for robotic manufacturing processes

Collaborate closely with customers to understand their specific requirements and provide tailored automation solutions.

Work closely with the engineering team and manufacturers to integrate process improvements and automation solutions effectively.

Assist in analyzing manufacturing data to support process optimization efforts.

Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in material science and automation technology.
Export Control Requirements
In order to comply with the export regulations of the United States Government, it is required that the applicant must fall under one of the following categories: (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful permanent resident (i.e. current green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Materials and Process Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.

1+ years of industry experience within a manufacturing environment working on manufacturing process development, manufacturing engineering or similar.

Proficiency in material science principles and their application to manufacturing processes.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast paced and innovative environment with quickly changing priorities.

Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across multiple teams.

Must secure work authorization in the United States and maintain ongoing work authorization beginning at the time of hire through the entirety of employment.
Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.

Understanding of automated and robotic systems, including machine tools, end-of-arm tools and basic programming.

Experience with CAD software for tool design.

Compensation for this position includes the base salary range of $80,000 - $100,000 USD plus equity. We also provide comprehensive benefits and perks which include but are not limited to medical, dental, vision, unlimited PTO, 401(k) plan + employer match, regular offsite events, a discretionary fund for enhancing productivity and so much more! The range listed on job postings reflect the minimum and maximum new hire salary across levels in Los Angeles, CA.
