JOB TITLE: Customer Outcome / Data Led Monitoring Exception Testing Assistant Manager - BCB Chief Controls Office

SALARY: £42,120 to £46,800

LOCATIONS:  Birmingham / Bristol / Cardiff / Edinburgh / Glasgow / Manchester

HOURS: Full-Time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

About This Opportunity

This role is within the Business and Commercial Banking (BCB) Customer Outcomes Team within the Chief Controls Office (CCO). In this role, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across the BCB CCO to undertake outcome testing and/or data led monitoring exception testing. You'll review customer journeys to spot where existing processes, systems and procedures are resulting in poor customer outcomes. You may also support with and help deliver the growth of data-led monitoring reports via exception testing, providing clear and detailed actionable outputs. Collaborating closely with CCO Control Partners and Business Partners you'll improve customer outcomes by identifying emerging issues and potential causes.

High Level Accountabilities

  • Testing of a variety of processes and customer interactions across a broad range of BCB products including communicating results to key partners
  • Undertake pre-launch testing for new metrics; ensuring they are identifying accurate exceptions
  • Support with testing on rectification events with mentorship from experts
  • Works with risk and control owner teams to help deliver against aligned customer, business, and strategic outcomes
  • Supports development and implementation of control strategy to monitor and test the design and operating effectiveness of the control environment across business processes
  • Gathering and summarising data and information, to produce meaningful outputs
  • Identifies issues and suggests and implements improvements to control environment with mentorship from senior colleagues

Key Skills

We're looking for someone who demonstrates the following skills:

  • Product/Business Knowledge – Broad BCB product knowledge and/or experience in a testing role (outcomes, quality etc). A good understanding of Consumer Duty and testing to provide insight and assurance over BCB customer outcomes
  • Data & Analytics – Proficiency in comprehending and integrating data and information from various sources to facilitate effective problem-solving. Applies strong analytical skills to evaluate the efficiency of control environment and uncover potential impacts on the business
  • Reporting – Demonstrates an ability to produce high quality actionable outputs from testing
  • Values & Behaviours – Innovates to go faster by taking responsibility for challenging existing processes; being an early adopter of change and viewing advancements in technology as opportunities to help us deliver for our customers.
