Job Description
Operational Oversight
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the custody services, ensuring efficient and secure management of digital assets.
- Implement and maintain robust operational processes, including transaction monitoring, asset segregation, and reconciliation.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in service delivery.
- Coordinate with the technology team to ensure the reliability and scalability of custody systems and infrastructure.
Risk Management
- Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with digital asset custody.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, scenario analysis, and stress testing to evaluate the impact of potential adverse events.
- Monitor and analyze emerging risks in the cryptocurrency market, including regulatory changes, technological advancements, and market trends.
- Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Stakeholder Communication
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and auditors.
- Prepare and present reports on risk and operational performance to senior management and the board of directors.
Qualifications
- At least 5-8 years of experience in risk management and operations, preferably in the cryptocurrency or financial services industry
- Strong understanding of digital asset custody, blockchain technology, and the regulatory landscape
- Proven track record of developing and implementing risk management frameworks and operational processes
- Good organizational, communication, presentation and leadership skills
- Ability to apply a strategic mindset to make sound decisions for the business, and at the same time able to execute individually in collaboration with other teams
- Self-driven, analytical and proactive problem solver
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Ability to multitask and keen eye to details
- Sensitive to processes, with clear and logical thinking
- Native / Fluent in English
