A day in the life…
- The ideal Risk Analyst is motivated, results-oriented and committed to providing outstanding customer service every day in a self-insured and self-administered claims environment.
- Responsible for all aspects of claim handling including customer service, investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and administration.
- Assists with other claims-related support, investigations, regulatory matters, subpoenas, discovery, and invoicing.
You own this if you have…
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal or insurance claims analyst/examiner
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience working in customer service
- Knowledge of tort, contract/indemnity and insurance issues, as well as medical and legal terminology
- Prior experience with self-insured, self-administered employer preferred
- Strong computer skills with general understanding of Microsoft Office and Outlook, and other Risk Management or claims or legal document management systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Understanding of retail and the service environment of Nordstrom
- Ability to take responsibility and exercise good judgment consistent with Nordstrom’s high ethical standards
- Excellent time-management skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize projects and meet deadlines
- Proven analytical and organizational skills with robust attention to detail
- Strong investigation skills
- Professional, trustworthy and reliable
- Ability to handle confidential information with respect and integrity

California: $59,500-$110,500 Annually, Colorado: $59,500-$95,000 Annually, Connecticut: $59,500-$95,000 Annually, Hawaii: $59,500-$95,000 Annually, Maryland: $59,500-$95,000 Annually, Nevada: $59,500-$95,000 Annually, New York: $59,500-$110,500 Annually, Rhode Island: $59,500-$95,000 Annually, Washington: $59,500-$110,500 Annually, Washington D.C.: $69,000-$110,500 AnnuallyThis position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.
