SpinLaunch is pioneering a new era of scalable space infrastructure. Following years of innovation in alternative launch systems, we’re now applying that same disruptive mindset to orbit—developing Meridian Space, a ground-breaking broadband satellite constellation built for rapid deployment and low-cost global coverage. With backing from industry leaders, SpinLaunch is positioned to deliver a fully integrated ecosystem of launch, satellite, and connectivity services. Join us in our mission and be an integral part of a close-knit, collaborative team that strives in a fast-paced, innovative environment. This is an on-site position located at our Long Beach, CA headquarters.

Your Mission on the Team:

You are responsible for the design and development of the analog RF systems in the satellite communication payloads and ground terminals of the Meridian Space constellation. This includes radio systems, antenna signal interfaces, waveguide design, and antenna control systems.  As part of a small team taking on big challenges, you will have ownership of the successful operation of payloads on orbit and be responsible for every aspect driving the success of the equipment that you are developing from blank slate to manufactured product.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of broad experience doing RF/Analog circuit design and board layout using the relevant tools
  • Experience modeling, designing, and testing RF subsystems, preferably for satellite payloads
  • Experience using HFSS, CST, or similar RF simulation tools
  • Ability to perform bench-level analog/power bring-up and troubleshooting using analog and digital test equipment like spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and vector signal generators
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • General electrical hardware design experience (Power, DC, digital design)
  • Experience with RF component characterization.
  • Experience in the design of satellite payloads and in managing radiation effects
  • Experience designing, manufacturing, and testing space flight hardware
  • Antenna or satellite system design experience
  • Experience in antenna range testing
  • Expertise in automating test equipment
  • Experience doing microwave analysis (and electrical analysis in general) using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools
