The Opportunity:

Job Description

­­­­The Revenue Recovery Supervisor will support the Director of Revenue Recovery in the selection, direction and development of team members. The Supervisor will be responsible for assisting team members with problematic claims and questions regarding the resolution of underpaid claims. Position duties include managing the daily workflow of the department, monitoring progress of identified trending issues and maintaining department policies and procedures. 

Essential Job Functions:

Lead a team of associates with a primary focus to research and identify payment discrepancies from various sources

Compile and analyze data to make recommendations

Work with financial and clinical departments collaboratively

Review contract validation, updates and interpretation

Present data and effectively communicate to various levels of end users

Ensure account analysis is validated prior to distribution

Work on multiple projects/initiatives at a time

Maintain applicable continuing education requirements

Other duties as assigned

Experience:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare insurance, hospital specific
  • Keen understanding of the revenue cycle and opportunity for uncollected revenue
  • 1-2 year prior supervisory or project management experience preferred

Licenses/Certificates:

Must pass the Certified Revenue Cycle Representative examination offered through the Healthcare Financial Management Association within 120 days of hire, unless already certified.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Accounting or a Healthcare related field or equivalent experience, required.
