About the Team/Role

This role is responsible for developing and driving forward the strategic demand generation and growth marketing plan of WEX’s Over The Road business, specifically targeting Owner/Operators, who act as consumers (focusing specifically on our newest product offering, 10-4 by WEX). This position requires strong demand-generation marketing experience and a proven ability to connect with and engage consumers. You will have the opportunity to build and drive a demand generation and growth marketing strategy alongside a tactical execution plan that leverages your experience in creating compelling consumer experiences. This includes full-funnel customer journey ownership and management, strategic thinking, campaign strategy development, and execution across multi-channel marketing programs, marketing effectiveness measurement mapped to business goals, consumer segmentation building, marketing communications, relationship and project management, creativity, and strong work ethic skills. This role is ideal for someone who is well-versed in the B2C marketing landscape (specific experience with mobile apps preferred) has a strong performance track record of demand generation and growth marketing strategy and execution, and is passionate about driving consumer engagement and revenue growth.

How you'll make an impact

  • Build a compelling consumer journey: Develop an annual strategic marketing plan that drives awareness, interest, and ultimately, purchases. 

  • Create engaging consumer experiences: Design and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, social, email, and other channels to attract and retain customers.

  • Measure and optimize performance: Track key metrics like customer acquisition cost, customer lifetime value, and brand awareness to continuously improve marketing efforts.

  • Drive customer loyalty: Develop loyalty programs and personalized experiences to foster long-term relationships with customers. 

  • Drive end-to-end customer journeys, fostering product adoption and building brand advocates.

  • Stay ahead of trends: Monitor market trends and consumer behavior to adapt marketing strategies accordingly.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with sales, product, and other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.

  • Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to: writing all short-form content needed to drive demand through various channels (digital, email, sales blitzes, landing page content, OOH, 3rd party advertising, etc.), multi-channel asset creation, weekly / monthly campaign performance reporting, event marketing strategy (in partnership w/ event marketing team)

Experience you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience in a B2C environment

  • Proven track record of success in B2C marketing, including demand generation, lead generation, and customer acquisition

  • Strong experience in developing and executing effective B2C marketing strategies and tactics, such as digital marketing, social media marketing, email marketing, content marketing, and influencer marketing

  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a customer journey, from awareness to conversion and loyalty

  • Excellent understanding of consumer behavior and market trends

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data to optimize marketing campaigns

  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and customer service

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • Creative problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

  • Passion for staying up-to-date on the latest marketing trends and technologies

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
