The Research Scientist will be part of Luma's foundational models research team, focusing on Generative AI projects including training models across various modalities, utilizing reinforcement learning for model tuning, and implementing efficient training techniques on distributed systems.

- On-policy or off-policy reinforcement learning for model tuning
- Efficient training and / or inference techniques on large-scale distributed systems
- Data curation and processing for pretraining and fine-tuning
Technical Requirements
- Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and/or Jax.
- This is an onsite role but open to remote for right candidate
Compensation
- The pay range for this position in California is $200,000 - $300,000yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience. We also offer competitive equity packages in the form of stock options and a comprehensive benefits plan.
