The Research Scientist (m/f/d) is responsible for moving the development of new products and methods forward in collaboration with the local team members as well as the global R&D team. The capabilities and knowledge we are looking for will be of fundamental importance for the ongoing success and the growth of the Dassel R&D department.

 

This position reports to the R&D Team Leader - Membranes and Diagnostic Applications and is part of the R&D Team located in Dassel, Germany and will be an on-site role.

What you’ll do

  • New product introduction (NPI) and optimization of existing product portfolio (continuous improvement)

  • Collection, management and internal presentation of measurement data and R&D projects

  • Close cooperation with manufacturing, product management, commercial sales and quality departments to bring your technical and scientific experience into existing teams and processes

  • Routine lab work for relevant tasks, case management systems etc.

  • Development and establishment of new methods and implementation of these to our manufacturing processes

Who you are

  • University degree in a natural science subject, preferably materials science, chemistry or similar experience

  • Preferably proven theoretical and practical knowledge regarding development and optimization of membrane based applications, especially lateral flow based applications, and their use at the customer’s site

  • Preferably proven knowledge on immunodiagnostic assays

  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken

  • Excellent team and communication skills

  • Hands-on-Mentality and out of the box thinking
