RESEARCH ASSOCIATE / SR. RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, NONCLINICAL DEVELOPMENT
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with members of the Nonclinical Development team and other cross-functional scientists.
- Prepare and execute in vivo studies using xenograft mouse models to evaluate the pre-clinical efficacy of cell-based cancer therapeutics. Includes animal preparation, tumor implantation (disseminated, subcutaneous, orthotopic), dosing of therapeutics via various routes of administration, monitoring tumor growth by IVIS imaging or caliper measurements, and survival and terminal tissue and blood collections for ex vivo analysis.
- Maintain tissue cell cultures and process tissue samples for flow cytometry analysis and other assays to elucidate mechanism of action.
- Collect, enter, and analyze study data in ELN systems and generate study reports. Summarize and present data in group meetings and other forums as needed.
- Maintain vivarium experimental equipment and ensure the availability of appropriate materials and reagents for study activities.
Qualifications:
- BS or MS in biological sciences with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a research laboratory, preferably in an industry setting.
- Prior experience handling research rodents, particularly immunocompromised mice, for pre-clinical assessments of cancer therapeutics using xenograft and/or syngeneic tumor models required.
- Proficiency in animal dosing techniques (i.v., s.c., i.p.) required.
- Proficiency with mammalian cell culture techniques such as thawing, cell line passaging, cell counting and bank cryopreservation required.
- Prior experience preparing and analyzing tissue samples for flow cytometry and operation of live animal imaging equipment for monitoring of bioluminescence/fluorescence is a plus.
- Must be able to work in a dynamic team environment and communicate effectively in both spoken and written forms.
- Effective trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
Should not have allergies to laboratory rodents which impedes working in a vivarium.

What We Do
At Adicet (Nasdaq: ACET), we are defined by our mission to deliver best-in-class gamma-delta T cell therapies for patients fighting cancer. Every one of our team members, whether in the lab, manufacturing, or general business role, comes to work every day with the patient in mind.
As pioneers in the cell therapy space, we are honored and humbled by the opportunity to put our talents to bear in developing transformative therapies to defeat cancer. We believe that the best way to do this is through discovering and developing allogeneic gamma-delta T cell therapies, a novel type of cell therapy.
Adicet has chosen the gamma-delta T cell because it has multiple ways to target and kill cancer cells, which may provide a better chance of achieving complete and durable responses to therapy. Additionally, instead of using cells from the already sick cancer patient, Adicet uses cells from unrelated donors (allogeneic) because they are reliable and readily available allowing us to rapidly and cost-effectively scale production of these medicines and make them available when needed (“off-the-shelf”).
Specifically, as a clinical stage biotechnology company we are advancing a pipeline of “off-the-shelf” gamma delta T cells, engineered with chimeric antigen receptors (CAR) and T cell receptor-like antibodies (TCRL) to enhance selective tumor targeting, facilitate innate and adaptive anti-tumor immune response, and improve persistence for durable activity in patients.
