Position Description
We are seeking a top calibre Research Associate to join our new and growing CLSA Energy Transition Team. The candidate would report to the Head of Energy Transition Research and participate in the team’s research work on the traditional energy and new energy sectors. Our team offers a unique opportunity for young professionals to broaden his/her equity research experience, as he/she will play a vital role in the team’s EU/US stock coverage in addition to the traditional APAC coverage.

Key Areas of Responsibilities 

• Develop and maintain industry databases, peer comparison as well as company financial models

• Prepare in-depth research reports that highlights key research findings, investment thesis, financial forecasts, catalysts and valuation

• Conduct thorough due diligence by engaging with company management and industry experts

• Participate in company briefings, industry events, roadshows and conferences

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or above, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience from buyside or sellside

• CPA/CFA qualification would be an advantage

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyse complex financial data and make informed decisions

• Proficient in financial modelling and different valuation techniques, while embracing innovation and new technologies to enhance the research process

• Excellent and well-structured written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese

• Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
