Job Description
Key Responsibilities / Duties
- Fundamental research analyst is required to contribute to the portfolio performance by providing an insightful recommendation in a timely manner which must align to the investment philosophy of Advantage strategy.
- Closely cover responsible holding names and provide timely and insightful recommendation.
- Seek for buy recommendation which aligns to the philosophy of Advantage strategy. Deep understanding of our investment culture as well as the investment philosophy is required.
- Communication is an integral part of this requirement. Fundamental research analyst should keep in mind that your recommendation would not reach out to the portfolio unless you can make a proper and logical communication to PM with strong passion.
- Responsible for covering assigned sectors/companies to keep up-to-date insight and knowledge.
- Write a company research report using our template that includes investment thesis, investment recommendation (Buy, Accumulate, Hold, Reduce and Sell), financial statement forecast, company earnings model, valuation, price chart and ESG/fundamental research analysis comments.
- Provide timely sector update analysis.
- Company research report should be updated at least quarterly for the holding companies. The periodical meeting with a company is mandatory for research and engagement activities.
- Maintain investment candidates list which aligns to the philosophy of Advantage strategy to provide an appropriate investment recommendation in a timely manner.
- Should support sales/marketing/client reporting activities as a team member in order to maintain and increase AUM.
- Make a contribution to strengthen the entire investment team performance.
- Communication is an integral part of our professional requirement. Do not hesitate to make any comment or push back to other colleague’s comment.

- Must recognize engagement activities are an integral part of the investment process.
Work Experience / Knowledge / Education / Formal Qualifications
Work Experience / Knowledge:
- Preferably approx. 10 years of experience as a research analyst
- Good analytical skill set with sufficient experience as a research analyst
- Have a deep insight from a long term perspective on a company analysis
- Professional with higher ethical standard as well as without any office politics
Formal Education:
- University graduate or higher
License / Registration / Certification:
- MBA, CFA, CMA or equivalent
Skills / Other Personal Attributes
