Position Overview 

We are looking for a professional to join our analytics Team in Pune, India. A successful candidate should be an analytically minded hands-on individual with a strong academic background, entrepreneurial spirit, and interest in data analytics. The position requires incumbent to leverage analytics and visualization tools to present information in a way that drives fact-based decision making. The incumbent should be expert in optimizing the data flows and understand the opportunities of new data sources in the context of integration into database/visualization platform.   

Our Analytics Team helps our clients across the globe, identify their highest-value prospects and customers and deliver relevant messages to those people using a census-level data stack and advanced tools for custom audience creation, extension (via look-alike models), and syndication to activation platforms. These capabilities represent an important part of our current business, with very strong growth potential. The team objective is to accelerate our growth, delivering strong revenue gains by attracting new clients and delighting current clients to retain and expand their engagement.  

The team support this goal through high-quality delivery and reporting on projects viz. campaign reporting, audience segmentation, look-alike modeling, audience activation, and closed-loop measurement of media outcomes (reach, frequency, sales impact, etc.). 

This role is based in Pune but will be supporting teams around the world  

Responsibilities

  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing reports and dashboards on the key drivers of our business.
  • Leverage analytics and visualization tools to present information in a way that drives fact-based decision making.
  • Partner with operations/business teams to consult, develop and implement KPIs, automated reporting/process solutions.  
  • Collaborate with Business teams and data owners to maintain data integrity and compliance.
  • Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
  • Manage on-time delivery of regular client/internal reports
    • Building reports from data warehouse
    • Review of completed reports for anomalies & discrepancies
    • Troubleshooting data issues/discrepancies
    • Ensure formatting & delivery parameters are met
  • Investigate and understand the opportunities of new data sources in the context of integration into database/visualization platform.
  • Support data cleansings & manipulation process including but not limited to:
    • Taxonomy classification
    • Conversion re-naming, grouping
    • Removal of test/ghost impressions 

Qualification - Required Skills 

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Analytics domain
  • A bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, econometrics, quantitative finance, actuarial science or engineering from a reputable university is a must
  • Rich experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau / Power BI / Looker Willingness to work in night shifts
  • Hands on experience in creating complex SQL Queries joining multiple datasets.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
  • Willing to work in night shifts.

Qualifications - Desired Skills 

  • An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced, ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting.
  • Experience working with large datasets using Python is desirable
  • Good hands-on MS-Excel. VBA would be a plus.
  • Candidates who have understanding of media and marketing domain would be preferred
