Purpose of the Position:
We are seeking dedicated reporters to enhance our coverage of political and macroeconomic issues in Hong Kong. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in capturing the complex narratives that affect our city and its residents.
In this role, you will:
- Cultivate a deep understanding of your specific beat, contributing to informed and nuanced reporting.
- Develop and maintain a valuable network of contacts to gather insights and leads.
- Produce original and impactful stories that resonate with our audience and drive engagement.
- Exhibit strong interviewing techniques and exceptional writing skills that bring stories to life.
- Showcase a portfolio of published work that demonstrates both breadth and depth of coverage.
Skills and Experience that will lead to success:
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant journalistic experience.
- Proven ability to thrive as a collaborative team player, especially under tight deadlines.
- Excellent command of English writing, with strong storytelling flair; proficiency in Cantonese is a significant advantage.
- A passion for journalism, with a commitment to uncovering truths and making an impact through your reporting.
Work location will be at Causeway Bay office.
