Job Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY
Assists in managing assigned commercial accounts. Performs routine account management activities such as organizing visits with current and potential clients, assists with quote preparation and determining/identifying customer needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education - Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in business administration, engineering, or a relevant technical field.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Able to sell the company to the customer, i.e., Company's philosophy, structure, capability and expertise.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers teams including Purchasing, PD/Engineering, Program, STA/Quality, and GVT to understand their business objectives and needs.
- Frequently makes visits to divisions to develop strong relationships with the leadership / commercial teams and a competent understanding of the products/processes.
- Document procedures to capture lessons learned on an ongoing basis to ensure best practices are followed.
- Manage, progress, and track current account open issues, secure contracts, tool orders and lump sum purchase orders on time.
- Assist with data gathering and analysis of current production requirements, new quote opportunities and open issue resolution.
- Communicate with the customers, the engineering department and the production facilities as requested to support account.
- Assist with pursuing contracts and tool orders, tracking outstanding cost related issues and supports with presentation materials, customer negotiations, presenting program status.
- Develop an understanding of the customer processes.
- Develops relationships with the divisional personnel and works to understand production processes.
- Develop an understanding of quoted costs and challenges the divisions to assure a well thought out/complete quote submission.
- Develop an understanding of division's manufacturing processes and costs and can explain production strategy to customer.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Support communications with the customer, divisions and internal functions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Act with honesty and integrity, and make ethical business choices in accordance with Magna's Compliance Policies and Procedures.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and software, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Approximately 30%; Travel expectations are subject to vary based on customer and business needs;

Responsible for ensuring that subordinates are properly trained to operate any machine or piece of equipment needed to perform all of their work duties. In addition, must ensure that all subordinates follow the rules specified in their training, the Employee Handbook, Environment Health and Safety Policies and procedures, and any regulations set forth by government agencies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but may occasionally approach very high levels when moving around a factory floor.
