About This Job

The Small Business Banking Relationship Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of business banking clients. This role involves developing strong relationships with business owners, understanding their financial needs, and providing tailored banking solutions. The primary goal is to drive business growth by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to cross-sell banking products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Grow and manage a portfolio of small business deposit accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective business banking clients
  • Act as key point of contact for the small business owner
  • Generate new business calling on customer requests for information, setting phone appointments, making outbound calls, opening new accounts, following up for funding on new accounts, and cross-selling other bank products
  • Retain existing business by handling rate negotiations and addressing customer’s needs to add value
  • Leverages reporting and sales tools to proactively identify and successfully convert sales opportunities
  • Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions
  • Handle incoming phone calls, and service existing customers
  • Work with others on the Small Business Team to ensure fast and efficient processing of accounts
  • Manage risk and ensure compliance with BSA/AML regulations to drive quality for new and/or existing relationships
  • Responsible to meet individual assigned sales goals for deposits, fee income, and customer service satisfaction
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time by direct supervisor

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years' banking
  • Small business banking
  • 2+ years customer service experience
