JOB TITLE: Relationship Director, Business Services & Financial Institutions
LOCATION: London
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, in our London office.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our highly successful Business & Commercial Banking team in the London & East region supporting SME clients in the Business Services and Financial Institutions sector.
You'll provide outstanding support to a SME portfolio with all their banking needs including lending, deposits, and a wide range of other services. There is an expectation to grow the portfolio, by attracting high value clients, through becoming the go to banking professional within your local community.
Your role and responsibilities include:
- Accountable for growing income, balance sheet and client numbers, whilst also managing any associated risks.
- Managing a portfolio of client relationships, typically interacting with Directors and Owner Managers.
- Identifying client needs and developing client strategies to meet those needs, using product, coverage, and support teams where relevant. Undertaking lending assessments and implementing appropriate client solutions.
- Responding to client’s key moments of truth including lending which cannot be fulfilled by the Client Relationship Team.
- Ensuring the balance between risk and reward is effectively managed ensuring that all lending and contingent liabilities meet the groups asset quality and policy requirements.
- Positively promoting the Bank’s image and working closely with Business Development, Product Partners and others to develop new business opportunities and grow your portfolio with high-value new clients

What we need from you?
- Previous commercial banking experience with a proven track record delivering results.
- Specialist credit and sector knowledge with a passion for delivering excellent client experiences whilst identifying ways to grow income, balance sheet and market share.
- Strong business origination experience with the ability to demonstrate how you're wired into local networks with extensive connections in the professional space.
- Validated credit experience and be skilled at evaluating propositions to make confident and effective commercial recommendations.
